  • Electric commercial vehicles typically have a significantly higher initial purchase cost than comparable diesel vehicles. However, the economic benefit is found in substantially lower operational costs over the vehicle's lifespan. This includes a lower cost per kilometre due to the cost differential in source energy (between 40% and 60% cheaper to run per km than diesel), and reduced maintenance costs due to the simpler EV drivetrain compared to diesel engines. When these operational savings are considered over the vehicle's life through a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis, an EV often proves more cost-effective; the more your drive, the more you save.  AEVERSA's commercial EV ecosystem design is intended to offer both new sources of revenue and additional business savings. AEVERSA provides fleet audits, TCO studies and modelling to demonstrate these potential savings. A case study with a client showed cost savings of up to 13% on TCO over six months. 

  • Transitioning to an electric fleet requires dedicated charging infrastructure on your property – essentially, your own "fuel station." AEVERSA implements AC and DC fast charging infrastructure, the latter may be recommended for operational flexibility due to faster charging times and the ability to manage charging schedules to take advantage of lower, off-peak electricity tariffs. It is important to size and specify appropriate hardware from day one with the end goal in mind, as the cost per charger decreases significantly as you scale your fleet. High-powered DC chargers require substantial electricity, and AEVERSA addresses potential grid constraints through energy management software (AmpControl and AE Cloud Based Management) and integration with commercial battery storage. This software enables Dynamic Load Management to efficiently allocate power based on cost, supply, and facility needs. AEVERSA also offers Charging as a Service (CaaS), a lease based solution where you avoid upfront costs for charging infrastructure installation and the burden of ownership and maintenance, paying an all-inclusive fixed rate per month. CaaS also provides the flexibility to upgrade charging needs as your fleet scales without incurring sunk costs from purchased equipment.

  • Concerns about the distance electric vehicles can travel on a single charge, known as "range anxiety," are common. AEVERSA helps alleviate this through advanced modelling, energy management systems and fast-charging solutions. For example, light commercial EVs typically offer a range of 200-300km per charge, which is well-suited for daily delivery commutes. AEVERSA conducts route assessment and optimization studies to ensure vehicles are used efficiently. Their software provides detailed energy usage data that can be used to optimize driver behaviour and vehicle programming, potentially increasing range and efficiency. EVs are also often functionally easier to operate than diesel vehicles, as they are without clutches and carry no risk of transmission damage. AEVERSA provides training and guidance to drivers and managers to help them understand how to operate EVs effectively. Furthermore, AEVERSA's software continuously monitors charger and EV health to ensure minimal downtime.
